VIDEO COMBUSTION is an ongoing project being developed collaboratively by a network of artists and performers working with multi-stream video projection, installation and live performance.On Saturday June 22nd 2002, at ALPHA RELEASE, you are invited to enter an immersive environment of projected light, sound and inspiration, where the artists weave together a mega-pixel matrix, reinventing performance structures with video collage, collaboration and music. |

The artists will be constructing an experimental narrative created with multiple audiovisual threads, dance music and sound, and dance performances, which have been prepared in workshops and online forums for the last two months. Video Combustion is more than theatre, dance party or club ... it is a multi-screen audiovisual adventure performed live by a selection of Sydney's leading video artists and audiovisual acts. Video Combustion is an event created by local artists who have imagination and want to share their great ideas with you.... beyond and way above what will be offered you at a "commercial event". Be adventurous and imaginative with us, as visual jammers take apart your ideas and beliefs about video performance and turn them inside out... |
